To become a Dog Walker Volunteer, follow these steps.

Step #1 Complete the Volunteer Application

Step #2: Review the Dog Walking Training Guide & Complete the Quiz
Click Here to read the Dog Walker Orientation and Training Guide and submit quiz
Step #3 Attend a Dog Walker Orientation Training
(60-90 minutes)聽Upon passing the Orientation quiz, the volunteer coordinator will contact you to聽schedule your mentor trainings.
Step #4 Attend a Shadow Mentor Training
(30 minutes)聽The volunteer coordinator will schedule this second mentor. We will make every effort to schedule you with different mentors for each training you.
Once your shadow walk is complete you are free to go solo and make your own schedule, so long as you are comfortable doing so. If you feel the need for more mentoring, just ask, we are happy to mentor you until you are comfortable going solo. You are welcome to come anytime M-F between 9am-5pm. That said, our highest need is weekdays. You can volunteer as often as you like 鈥 there are no minimum requirements.
